An intense experience from the moment you join the queue, the queue line is sturdy but doesn't feel it. You can feel the metal under your feet quiver as the ride completes its circuit. I also don't feel like you quite understand how tall it is until you're up there, at the very top and looking down at the Big Ones track. The queue goes quite slow but it doesn't seem to garner a long one, no more than 15 minutes. The ride itself is very intense, and I got a blackout at the top of the loop, which leads me to believe that this ride is more intense than Nemesis at Alton Towers, were I was fine the entire way through. The feeling of going backwards is incredibly weird, and I recommend it if you haven't done it before but know you like going upside-down.In conclusion, the ride was incredibly intense going forward and very unique going in reverse. I personally highly recommend.

Loved it when I was young, I just wonder why there is no buffalo head on the coaster anymore.

As far as stand up coasters go, even B&M versions give a uncomfortable ride, this being Intamin it's even worse! This being 1 of only 3 built by the company I don't think they had a chance to get the design right. That said it's the only stand up coaster in the UK so it's a unique experience that any enthusiast should try. Throughputs are good, theming could be better, ride time from top of lift hill to break run is very short so don't blink!

Review for those who like their coasters.I have given this five stars given its context. This ride is old. I also nearly dismissed it on my last visit. It’s easy to forget it’s functionally a launch coaster (though I’m not familiar with the technicals on this model). The launch makes what would be a non event of a first drop more of an event than you might think. The loop is solid. It’s all the same experience backwards.Yeah there are taller, faster, more intense, more interesting layouts now (from another perspective I could give it three stars). However, for what it is, for the fact that both the drops and loop are deceptively forceful, and for the fact it’s still going, I will leave it at five stars.I’m glad I didn’t skip it on my last visit. If you want a fun experience, sit on the left and keep looking left all the way through the ride. It is pretty much lined up with the shore so you get to see the park and the sea rotate upside down around you doing this (do so at your own risk, I accept no liability for sore necks).
