We booked the table as a surprise celebration for my Dad's birthday. France is his second home, so he loves French food! We'd not eaten at Cote before, but we were not disappointed! The staff were absolutely amazing and managed to seat my parents at a separate table until we'd all arrived ensuring it was a proper surprise for him! The food was delicious and both my gluten free Mum and daughter with a peanut allergy were well catered for! The ambience was fabulous, helped further by the festive time of year; overall it was a very special celebration that we'll all remember- many thanks to everyone at Cote York! Hope you all have a fantastic Christmas :)

Visited many times. Staff always courteous and accommodating. Excellent food, good value and good wine selection. Don't let steps on Low Petergate put you off if wheelchair user. They will open side door and you can access restaurant through flat yard albeit with small bump to go over into restaurant itself.

Excellent service, dinner and atmosphere. Everything was very clean there, staff very friendly and helpful, and the dinner was very very delicious. Glutenfree menu is available as well, so that was awesome.

Friendly service, could have done with more lamb /bigger portion ,My son wouldn't have been impressed by it definitelywouldn'tsufficehis appetite. Otherwise, there is nothing to complain about. It was a quiet week night when we visited ,we weren't rushed, which was pleasant. I wouldn't rush back, but neither would I avoid.

Enjoyed a lovely dinner at Cote with excellent gluten free choices, all labelled with the allergen flags. The restaurant was not too busy so the noise levels were good. The service was quick and the staff were friendly. Two of the mains were slightly overcooked but the others were perfect. Will be back.

My experience at Cote York was delightful!The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.The food was delicious, and having a quiet table at the front of the restaurant with a window seat allowed us to enjoy both the excellent cuisine and a charming view of the street (particularly as I’m nosey and like to see what’s going on!)I had the rump of lamb with ratatouille and my partner had the moules and frites. Both were cooked well. For dessert, I had the elderflower creme brûlée which was lovely and my partner had the salted caramel chocolate tart which he was delighted with.I highly recommend Cote York for a fantastic dining experience!
