We went to use the spa facilities only, which were super well maintained and the outdoor pool is to die for. Great atmosphere and attentive staff. Highly recommend and definitely would return for the heated outdoor pool. The treatments were average, had to keep asking for a deeper pressure to be provided during the body massage.

Rooms ok, very dated. Air con not working, heating on full blast.Went for a weekend for a wedding. Not very well organised, not enough staff on bar for the amount of people. Breakfast ran out at 8am. Very disappointingReplying to your review, we did turn the radiators off in our room. The whole hotel was boiling.Breakfast was replenished on the Sunday morning, but the morning of wedding it wasn't.There wasn't 7 staff on the bar, apparently you promised to open both bars which you didn't.There was a few issues that were raised the morning after wedding, especially as the Groom was insulted by one of your management team.Anyway thank you to the staff who were helpful, but I don't think I will be recommending you in the future

The staff were lovely and it has potential to be an amazing place to stay. The spa was wonderful and the service we received was spectacular. The rooms are a bit dated and it does seem that renovations are ongoing in the dining area. We stayed as guests of a wedding happening in the area and it was the perfect location. Food was also REALLY good for both breakfast and dinner. We would stay here again for sure.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL.My friend got married here and it was an absolute shambles from the planning through to the day. I won't talk about their experience throughout the planning of the wedding in stead I'll talk about the day itself. Firstly the bar wasn't stocked properly. They ran out of red bull before the evening had even started. The bar staff were just making up prices one round would cost £12 another (exact same order) would cost £25. We asked on numerous occasion for coffee and tea and kept being told they would come out - they didn't.This isn't the worst part. The worst part is nearly everyone except evening guests or vegetarians ended up with food poisoning. They claimed it was everything other than them and their service, care and responses were disgraceful. I'd never, ever recommend this place

Spa is not luxury and pushed as 'complementary' between 5-8pm. Er, no. It's included in the room rate and at 5pm 3/4 of the pool, which is outside, is closed because of the dark.Didn't see a hot tub (presumably outside) so between 5pm and 8pm I had use of 2 tired, tiled rooms but not sure what they were for (photos included), 1/4 of a small swimming pool (in front of a bar) and 3 old sunloungers. My room (15) smelled of fish. It was cleaned again but still had a terrible smell so I couldn't stay in it. I was offered an alternative but it didn't have the same bed configuration so we couldn't use it.I was told that room 15 was in a perfectly re-sellable state and it was my personal preference not to stay in a room that smelled bad and therefore I couldn't get my money back. The two staff members I spoke to admitted it had a strong fishy odour and I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have slept in there! We actually found a brilliant De Vere hotel in Windsor to stay in and moved about 8pm. It was an inconvenient experience, especially as we had to shell out for another hotel, but we went for a spa break and luxury stay and it was very far from that.Over all, the whole hotel is run down with serious mould problems in communal areas (see pics), scruffy rooms, stained soft furnishings, smelly carpets and a general feeling of 'has seen better days'.Staff were generally not bothered and constantly hung around the reception desk chatting. In the car park are diluted mattresses, old bits of furniture and random pieces of equipment.I wouldn't recommend anyone stay here unless they were desperate. Go to De Vere Beaumont Estate instead!

We booked the hotel to stay following a wedding in the area. I rang to confirm whether the spa was included in the room price which I was told it was. We were thoroughly disappointed with the smallC dark and dated, chaotically decorated room but let this pass as we had booked the hotel because of the spa. When we checked out and asked to use the spa, we were told that it was only included for 5pm-8pm the day before which was never mentioned in the phone call. We were advised that there was nothing they can do and that we’d have to pay an extra £70 for two spa day passes.A very disappointing and overpriced stay - Avoid this hotel.

Was planning to book a room for two nights. When I phoned them, I was told that I could only use the pool between 5-8pm, with my booking. If I wanted to use the pool beyond these hours, there would be a charge of £35. This is really quite shocking. Who books a spa hotel and then doesn't use the pool or spa as part of their booking? I've stayed in many spa hotels before, and this is a first. Well, I won't be booking with you and will find somewhere that understands why people book spa hotels.

DO NOT STAY HERE, Very poor quality all round and only gave 1 star as it wouldn't allow no stars. On arrival, we was given the keys to a suite only to find it occupied with a couple in a state of undress. I don't know who was more embarrassed. The reception staff laughed it off. Our suite was in a poor state with some lights and air con not working and with no toiletries. Wallpaper flaking off. Reception said they would call an engineer but as it was Bank Holiday weekend, it wouldn't be until after we checked out. She did find us some toiletries after 3 hours, but they were not as described. We had to pay £70 for use of the pool despite it stating on my booking it was included in the already extortionate price. The pool had lots of broken tiles and rough edges with some of the loose tiles left on the bottom of the pool, and the jacuzzi beds were not working and we were again told no one could fix them until the following Tuesday. The steam room only had one of the 3 steam jets working so it was like sitting near a kettle instead of a steam room. I didn't use the sauna as another guest told me to avoid it due to it being extremely dirty. The restaurant food was OK but the service was like something from Faulty Towers but only not as funny. We have stayed here before, hence my booking but apparently it has changed hands and it's shocking.Rachel. receptionist. Laughed off a terrible and embarrassing mistake.Harriet. Duty Manager. Unprofessional, uncaring and told me to complain to anyone I wanted to as she only works here and doesn't own it.Marques. Restaurant. shocking and without any knowledge.James, who Rachel said was Duty manager but Harriet later denied this. He never showed his face from my initial complaint despite saying he would come to my room before leaving, which he didn't.The response to this ACCURATE review and assessment of the hotel from a personal experience is exactly what I would expect and is as unprofessional as its staff. Choosing to disregard my review without commenting only shows that you cannot prove its not true.

Spa day & afternoon tea: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!We paid £74pp to experience the pool being far too hot to even relax in ( I am pregnant so was unsafe for me to enjoy ) & my friend found it unbearable as well. The pool was also dirty at the bottom and full of leaves around the edge even inside by the loungers. The changing rooms were very hot with no fans, aircon or circulation so was very uncomfortable to get changed in there, the showers were too hot and was unable to change the temperature on them, so we could not shower at all.The showers also by the steam room were not working & dirty! We had to go to reception at 3.15 as our afternoon tea was meant to start at 3 and nobody came to get us. We eventually got a table, I am dairy free and my friend was gluten free. When her scones came she could not put her knife through it at all to open it, it was like a rock, she would have broken her teeth if she tried to bite into it.To say the least we were very disappointed & am very unhappy paying for this experience at all.I have emailed to formally complain & have received an email back saying “ you can talk to the maintenance guy “ with his number attached. Not even an apology! Still waiting back After nearly a week of asking to speak to the owner of the hotel & im getting no reply.

I’m American and was very excited to experience an English tea. Booked this place by email and got a friendly response.Upon arrival they were surprised to see us because they were totally absorbed in a wedding. They told me that they had either called me ( no missed calls) or emailed (again, no) to cancel. They offered us nothing in compensation other than use of their pool (coming for tea, no swimsuits!). I asked if they would at least pay for the Uber we used to get there and they flatly refused! This is no way to do business!
