This Jet shop is my favourite, beautifully crafted, you can actually see the passion for what they do in their work. I spent ages looking for a ring to fit my small fingers that weren't very plain or wouldn't take a while to be delivered on order. I walked in and asked what the smaller sizes were and I was amazed by the choices I had. I found the perfect Whitby Jet ring and have been complimented every time I wear it.Great customer service, brilliant knowledge of Jet and is happy to answer any and all questions relating to it.

This is a great shop for jet jewellery. We looked in lots of shops in whitby looking for somebody who could altar a piece to hold some ashes. As soon as we got in we knew we had the right place, as they were actively working on pieces in the shop. Every other shop was more of a showroom, with nobody giving us any confidence they could work on or altar a piece for us. Here, they showed us lots of pieces and explained how and where they could put some ashes. Seeing and hearing them work on pieces meant we knew they were a jewellery maker, not just a seller. They worked with us over phone and email to finalise a piece and arrange everything, as we were from out of town. They remained professional and respectful throughout, but were also down to earth and didn't turn their noses up at us, unlike some other places. We are very happy with the beautiful final piece.

I was in Whitby on November 15th, 2022, and stopped into the shop just to browse. What an amazing experience!! Not only did I find a ring that I fell in love with, but it was made more special as it was sized right in front of us, and the stone was shaped to fit. The gentlemen was so friendly and welcoming it added to the overall experience, I truly enjoyed our conversation. Everyone who has seen my ring here in Dartmouth, NS , Canada, has admired it.

Had a second fantastic experience at this jeweller today. We went looking for a special present for my Mum’s 60th and we weren’t disappointed. We found the perfect necklace and can’t wait to give it to her. David was very engaging with our kids and gave them a working demo of his setup in the shop. This place is a very authentic jet workshop and will always make this the first stop when looking for Whitby jet jewellery.

Really great selection to suit a range of preferences, the shop is beautifully arranged, rustic and inviting and you get a first hand look at some of the jet working. The two gentlemen that were there when my family and I purchased my beer first Whitby jet were very helpful and polite. The prices are very fair for the quality of products on offer. Certainly recommend the EBOR jet works to anyone visiting Whitby with the intention of purchasing Whitby jet.

Amazing place! Easily the prettiest shop in Whitby.So full of interesting things, not just the jet, there are jet imitations, an amazing collection of antique jet, historical items, quirky things, even a piece of mammoth ivory.The staff are lovely and will happily chat to you, tell you all about jet, how it is formed and how they make the jewellery, and you can watch them right in the shop making pieces.The jewellery is different too, it's not the same stuff you see all over Whitby, but different designs, and because Sarah is a gemmologist and geologist, they use all sorts of different gems to set with the jet which is just beautiful.Sarah, the owner is the world's leading expert in jet, so there is nothing they don't know.

The person running the shop was very nice and helpful as he found the ring I wanted in the correct size and then fit a jet in it. The shop had a very nice atmosphere and was decorated well.

Awesome little shop, crammed full of lovely jewellery. My wife wanted a ring and the ones they had on display were all the wrong size in the style she wanted. 5 minutes of hunting in their drawers and they had a blank ring of the correct size but no Jet was set in it. They crafted a piece specially for us right there and then (well we went for a cup of tea next door) an hour later and it was ready. Lovely guys in the shop explained all about the process to our boys too. Well worth a visit to see them in action and feel some raw Jet too.

Fantastic Jet shop in Whitby. Very interesting interior. I felt like I'd been transformed back in time to the very early days of Jet jewellery making. It was the only place that I could find raw segments of Jet for sale. Reasonably priced too. Friendly staff were more than happy to discuss Jet and it's history which was was appreciated after I recently discovered my ancestors we're involved in Jet.
