I have my new front door, and we are delighted! M & K have done a splendid job. It looks absolutely beautiful. They were punctual, polite (no swearing, which is so common among trades folk these days), clean and tidy working, great attention to detail and jolly nice chaps too. Everything was finished to a high standard.

Engaged Thames Windows in February 2021 to install a glass roof with sun reflecting glass, a bi-fold patio door and a kitchen window and the job has just finally been completed a year later (Feb 2022).Overall, it was the worst experience we have ever had with a home improvement company and included the following issues:-- The roof window was measured incorrectly and as a result didn’t fit the space.- Instead of being resupplied, the frame was shoehorned into place and damaged the walls internally and externally.- Because the roof was measured incorrectly, the guttering never fitted and leaked for six months causing damage to the brickwork outside.- The bi-fold doors and kitchen window were not installed correctly, the installer did not add the spacer parts inside the frames and so they did not balance or close correctly.- The bi-fold doors would swing shut when left open and no magnetic door stop was fitted at the time and the incorrect handle was supplied.- Aside from the lack of skill of the initial fitters, their attitude and general demeanour was totally unprofessional.- Their workmanship was of the lowest standard imaginable, they were careless and clearly unqualified.- It was an unpleasant experience having them in our home.- One of the fitters became very aggressive and verbally abusive with the local traffic warden about a parking issue - although we gave them permits with instructions.- The job had inadequate health and safety provision. No scaffolding towers and an installer slipped whilst on the roof, breaking two of the installed glass panels as he fell, then fell off the roof 2m onto concrete, damaging his wrist.- Apart from an injury to him, this caused a major disruption and delay, requiring glass panes to be re-ordered twice as the replacements arrived scratched.- The team used our garden as a rubbish tip and left building waste, cigarette butts, drink cans and nails on the grass.- When they finally tidied up (after requesting twice that it be done), they also cleared away other items that were not rubbish (next door's guttering that they had removed without permission and parts of the bi-fold door).- No plastic curtain was installed to contain the dust that would obviously occur as part of building work, so our entire downstairs (open plan kitchen and living room) was coated in fine brick dust.- They were careless with their equipment, leaving a large glue mark on the kitchen work surface that was extremely difficult to remove.- It took six months for Thames Window to admit there was a problem, re-measure and supply the roof window in the correct size.- The company asks for 90% of the invoice to be paid before any of the work starts so customers have nowhere to go when things go wrong.- When we discussed our issues with the owner, he cited Brexit as a reason that the job had taken so long.- The owner (reluctantly) offered a £500 discount for our inconvenience (approx 3% of the cost) but when we refused this as inadequate, instead of increasing it to something appropriate, he withdrew the offer altogether.- He stated that he’d already lost £13k and stressed that if the invoice was not paid in full, debt collectors would be sent to recover his costs.All of these issues have been raised in writing with the company and because of their lack of response, we can only conclude Thames Windows do not take the concerns of their customer seriously.We appreciate that they have incurred significant cost in remedying the situation, but frankly that is not a paying customer's concern; the job should have been conducted professionally in the first place.A new installation team were finally sent to completely re-do the job, new roof frame, re-hung the doors, windows etc and whilst this his now finally been done to our satisfaction, the amount of hassle, disruption and frustration caused was severe. Cannot recommend.

We’ve sadly had a terrible experience with Thames windows. We ordered all new windows November 2021 and they are still not finished. The windows themselves had terrible condensation and are missing hardware still. They ruined our new carpet during the installation by dropping product on it. They took multiple trips to ‘finish’ after the main installation and took lots of chasing after we had paid (don’t pay until it’s complete!). Now they’ve moved away and are not responding to emails with outstanding work to do. Very disappointed in a local place that came recommended. I guess the staff turnover means a place can change.

Thames Windows installed new sash windows at our property. The customer service from start to finish was faultless. They were extremely helpful in helping us decide which windows to go for without trying to upsell as some other companies did. The work they did was brilliant and the team was extremely professional. The windows are top quality and the pricing was very fair (we got a range of quotes). They were also flexible on dates which was extremely useful for us. We are so pleased that we went with this company and we would highly recommend them!

I had the front door and window installed in my studio extension - Communication was excellent and the job was done quickly and to a very high standard! Highly recommended

We have been thoroughly delighted with our new windows and doors from Thames. They were installed promptly yesterday. Our roof lantern in particular is stunning. The service has been warm, friendly, helpful and punctual throughout. We would happily recommend.

Stay Away! If things go wrong, they will not be your champion. They will not admit their errors and will not support you as a customer. I recently extended my kitchen and used Thames Windows and Doors to purchase Velfac windows. The customer service I received from them, for an order well over £10k, was beyond disappointing. They mismanaged expectations on delivery dates (ruining my build schedule by a month), they didn’t order the cills and they refused to admit any culpability. It has cost me hundreds of extra £ to correct their mistakes. While the windows themselves are great, I would use any other supplier than them to get Velfac, not this company.

Thames Windows & Doors were so great from the start they really helped advise us of the best and most cost effective solution for what we wanted to achieve.They were quick to respond with design changes and liaised with our builders to ensure install was smooth and efficient and were also really flexible with timing changes!All in all I would definitely use Thames Windows again, we're so happy with the finished result & the quality is amazing!
