Hare Krishna Temple Watford - ISKCON Bhaktivedanta Manor

My wife and I visited the Hare krishna temple today,it was just amazing and beautiful, I'm not hugely religious but I found myself drawn by the wonderful aura it gave out.

Absolutely beautiful and peaceful property, with a temple at it's heart. Lovely gardens, small pond with circular walk, cow shelter and feeding area, and a few other attractions to complete your visit.We booked a family tour in advance and it was worth it. Highly recommended.Visited on a weekday so it wasn't very crowded, which made our visit even better.

I arrived because of my interest through being a huge Beatles and George Harrison fan. My Family from Mauritius practice hinduism and I habe taken an interest through a dear friend. So i wanted to learn more and find out what it is all about. Of course this cannot be done by one tour but perhaps a the basis to start. The Manor house is beautiful and the gardens are stunning. I will be returning to see them in full bloom next year. My guide who i am desparstely sorry that I cannot remember his namr was so knowlegeable patient and i formative. He explained his reasons for being their and helped to explain some of the ideas to my 6 year old. Some was clearly over head but she enjoyed it and the imterraction. The temple is beautiful and also those we saw were so wonderfully kind. I will be returning and whilst i have always been quite anti religion thos is an interesting spiritual path that resonates more with myself. Nothing is forced on you and you are encouraged to return amd ask more questions and find your pathm thank to all and I will see you again very soon.

A wonderful place for everyone who is seeking solace on the midst of busy life.Spiritually uplifting, and spread over a huge area.Happy people, happy cows, great food.You can book halls for private functions as well. The arrangement was impeccable, the prasadam were really great.Would highly recommend.

Loved the vibe and calmness of this place. I visit once or twice every year and the temple area and outside greenery is just awesome. Comes to visit during Indian festival and staff here is very well organised right through parking to visit the temple and a smooth experience.

An amazing pace to visit, whether you are religious or looking to explore and understand the beliefs and the teachings there is so much here to do - and that’s on non-festival days!!!The grounds are vast with a activity playground for children which is suitable for a wide range of ages, there is a number of flower Gardens and path ways through some woodlands. There is even a small lake with a pathway following it’s perimeter which is so calm and tranquil.There is a number of outdoor sheltered areas as well as various vegetarian foods that be purchased on site (and all are made on site too!)There is also a large Cowshed area where you can feed the cows for a small donation. Facilities are ample with various toilets on site and a vast amount of parking!A truly lovely, peaceful, relaxing and spiritual place to visit.
