Hotel du Vin York
First impression, room is more style than substance. Super king bed, but no drawers for any clothes, no real storage for bags/cases don't even fit under the bed! Room designers need to visit Premier Inn to see how it's done. Not cheap at £150 a night without breakfast....Cleaning standards need serious attention, surfaces dusty, shower bottles not very clean.Management agreed with the issues, agreed a reduction on the price and advise that refurbishment is due autumn.

Lovely stay at the Hotel du Vin in a deluxe room. We had two floors with the bathroom being upstairs which included a roll top and walk in shower and the L’Occitane products were lush.Little noisy at times which is expected as it is on a main road. However we wanted to be a little away from the city centre so found the location perfect, it was about a 17 min walk into the centre. We didn’t use the bar, restaurant or lounge areas but they did look very inviting.Staff were super helpful and friendly, check in/out was efficient.

The hotel is beautiful and has a fantastic private carpark which is really important to us. Our room was amazing but it did have one flaw, which I'm seeing more and more in hotel rooms recently, it had no mirror! It had two full length mirrors, both in dark corners with no lighting but no mirror to see to do my makeup and hair. There wasn't even one in the bathroom which had amazing natural light so it would have been perfect in there. Other than that it's one of the best rooms we've stayed in, and we travel a lot. A big room with a bath in it and a massive shower to die for all added to the luxury of this room. We ate in the restaurant and although short staffed the young man running it did an amazing job on his own and the food was delicious. He should be congratulated because he did all the jobs that night, seating guests, taking orders, making the drinks AND working the bar, bringing our food, checking on us then wishing us goodnight as we left. He was even there when we arrived back to the hotel late that night and served us another drink before wishing us goodnight again. A true asset to the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel and we will be back again the next time we stay in York

Hotel du Vin York
Small bar area, so had to walk past people who were eating to reach the room. In the room the shower curtain was less than stellar so the whole bathroom was soaked after a shower. A curtain which reached the floor who solve the issue.However it's close to the centre and makes visiting York easier.£15 a day Parking, not included in room rate.

Great location but £15 to park was a bit steep. Stayed in a suite for 2 nights which was nice and was asked if we wanted house keeping or a voucher for £7.50 per person against a drink at the bar so we took the voucher as for 2 night's we did not need someone to make the bed. 1st night we arrived back after eating out in York at 10.20 pm and went into the bar to get a drink to take back to our suite to be told the bar was closed so I informed him we were residents and asked why and then he said bar staff had gone home and he would serve us and actually the bar was open 24 hours ? He served us our 2 drinks reluctantly and said with attitude enjoy your nightcap" as he obviously did not want to serve any more

Hotel du Vin York
We stayed a couple of weekends ago with our children and dog. What can I say! We were bowled over with the atmosphere, the beautiful decor but most of all the friendly and attentive staff. Nothing was too much trouble and they went above and beyond to make us comfortable. We will definitely be back and will be recommending Hotel Du Vin to everyone!

Hotel du Vin York
Beautiful hotel that's just a short walk from the city centre. Everything about this hotel exudes luxury and thoughtfulness. The customer service is excellent. Everyone I encountered from the receptionist, the cleaners, the waiters, and the managers were friendly, polite, and professional. I had breakfast, which was delicious. A chef-prepared full English that the waiter brought to my table. I could also have as much continental as I like, such as pastries, coffee, tea, juices, yoghurts, and fruits. Very impressed! The room was amazing! I stayed in a deluxe suite with a very comfortable bed, desk, and cloakroom downstairs. The amazing roll-top bath and the rainfall shower were on the mezzanine floor. It's easily one of my favourite hotels. I'm planning to return in 2024 just for a week to treat myself.

Hotel du Vin York
Lovely quirky hotel offering warm family service. The food was great also. Only complaint which of course is not their fault, is we would have preferred to have been inside the old walls of York. A really beautiful city.
