Can totally understand why they have low rating ,staff don't listen. Total waste of money they not at all interested in your issues, they do not even know the law.I will be cancelling my subscription.

I was ringing and texting them 4 days because of my Resignation letter and still didn't ring or text me back ... very disappointed

This complaint is not against this regional office, but it is vitally important for gmb members be aware of the outrageous way one of their fellow trade-unionists has been treated, and the callous disregard for the founding principles of the trade union movement and complete disregard for the union rule book displayed by certain union officials.Due to the poor service of the unions legal team ( Tinsdills ), I was forced to make a complaint. With-out interviewing me & viewing all evidence, regional sec, Joe morgan , ruled against me and informed me that I had exhausted the union complaints procedure ( blatant lie ) and he closed down my complaint, only being forced to re-open it a few weeks later, when I initiated a Rule six appeal. This was passed to stoke on trent branch sec, Sharon Yates, who against official union rules, held the hearing behind my back and ruled against me.I then made an official complaint of gross-misconduct against Morgan & Yates to general sec , Tim Roache, and asked him to investigate the matter, or failing that, to expel me , which would entitle me to complain to the governments certification officer, but he would do neither, - so much for union democratic values, transparency , and justice.Because I had been stone-walled by union officials and been denied my rights as a union member, I was forced to commit the cardinal sin and confront my own trade union online. Like a nuclear deterant, you'll pay for it for years and when you come to use it the outcome leaves you with very little future.

Why is the GMB England not supporting its members against British Gas who are threatening to destroy their pension scheme, GMB Scotland on the other hand has told their members that they are ready to fight British Gas and will give them full support.

Regarding the jailing of 3 anti fracking protesters in Preston; , it is bewildering as to why the GMB, has aligned itself with this right wing corporatist agenda. The union’s leadership has previously called for the police and courts to take a ‘tough line’ on protesters, conveniently forgetting that such actions were essential to the establishment of the very movement they are part of.It is Labour Party policy to ban fracking. There is no case for it in terms of energy security, growth or job creation. On the contrary it there is robust evidence that it poses a significant threat to our communities through harms to public health and our environment, whilst diverting resources away from more sustainable and socially beneficial energy options such as renewables and domestic insulation.All GMB members should challenge their leaders on this issue and ask why a position is being maintained whereby a trade union’s policy is helping to undermine the very foundations of human rights and social justice, assets of our democracy which have been long fought for and hard won.
