Simon Jordan - Pianist and Violinist

Simon recently played at our wedding ceremony and drinks reception in July. Before our wedding we'd asked Simon to play a medley of Disney songs during our wedding ceremony / signing of the register; and for a combination of both classic and modern love songs during the drinks reception. You really helped to bring our fairytale to life, and our guests absolutely loved hearing you play so beautifully! Thank you Simon for helping to make our wedding day so special - you're wonderfully talented and we really appreciated having you there on our special day!

My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the music theory one week crash course with Simon, so much so she is in the process of repeating it this week. My daughter learns piano at school and during these lessons much of her time has been spent playing, not theory. Simon’s course has certainly brought her up to speed and put her well on the path to being able to take the exam in due course.

An excellent Grade 5 Theory Course. My daughter passed first time with a merit! Simon Jordan is very good. The ongoing support (after the course) was really very helpful indeed, and the fact that you could attend the course again (without charge) for revision if required, was also so beneficial. Would highly recommend this course.

Simon played Wildest Dreams as my bridal party and I walked up the aisle, coordinating with the church pianist to deliver a stellar performance. As an inherently shy person, I was unsure of following my gut in going for a 'non-traditional' song for my bridal entrance, but it soon became abundantly clear Simon really could play anything and - more importantly - do the piece justice by putting in every effort, including tolerating me emailing him a week before with unnecessarily precise entrance timings! His professionalism and talent gave us the confidence to know we'd made the right choice, and I can't thank him enough. He also played for the drinks reception at Hampden House immediately after the ceremony at the church, and again performed magnificently - I'm only sorry I didn't get a chance to thank him in person on the day.

Simon came to play at our wedding, he was amazing. He played throught the day al the way from guest arriving to the end of our wedding breakfast. He never missed a beat. I asked guests to recommend songs and gave the list to Simon. When he played mambo number 5 (a guests request) on piano it was the best thing I had ever heard, and was fun to listen too. Would highly recommend :)

Simon's course was really good - I think it's been great value for money. My son attended for the five days over the summer holiday before planning on taking his Grade 6 instrumental exam. He thinks it has improved not only his Music Theory for the purpose of passing his Grade 5 but has helped his understanding of scales for his instrument and also for his GCSE music. Simon has a lovely approach and manner. It was very easy to listen to and he was really patient with all the attendees. He was great at keeping in contact with the attendees during the afternoons and evenings through the homework that was set. I would highly recommend.

It was so lovely having Simon play at our wedding during the canapés and drinks part. It was a beautiful, sunny day and the piano in the background created such a perfect atmosphere for our summer vibe. Simon is a very learned and dedicated teacher. My son had been greatly motivated and gathered confidence after attending his lessons. Another great thing is we only paid for a eight hour lesson but my son was encouraged to attend many more lessons which had been very helpful! On the top of that his exam paper was corrected by Simon after he finished his lesson. I highly recommend these Grade 5 piano theory lessons.
