Bespoke Tutoring

I have mixed feelings about this place. My child joined here for her SATS year before last and never wants to go back there again. She is now a teen and still has bad memories from the place as her tutor (Anaya) use to shout a lot and even made some children cry in her class, so she use to fear going in. So in that perspective I would say they really do need to improve as no parent sends theirs kids into a paid tutoring place to be scolded. And for this reason I never started my second child here as he's not so tough skinned.But what I can't fault is their method of teaching (without the raised voice) as it is quite exceptional. Things my daughter struggled with and never understood at any other tuition she understood here within 1-2 days. And she did pass her SATs which she possibly wasn't going to achieve without their support. I took a chance and it did pay off. Even their set homework was short and sweet and not overwhelming like a lot of other places.Their internal settings are delightful.But some things I found a little unprofessional such as set homework would sometimes have mistakes in them and when I brought this to their attention they said its just human error. I've had tuition at a lot cheaper rates, even less than half the price they charged and never were their any errors in the set homeworks. There was also an incident where Anika had forwarded me an incorrect voice note (as this is how they communicate with parents) where her and Anaya were talking about me and pretty much making fun of me. Anika did apologise for it several times but tbh the damage was done by then. I have been wanting to review this service for a long time but kept putting it off unitl I truly knew how I wished to comment. But this is the hard truth of it and Anika is lovely and will try and fix the damage - my daughter would rather be tutored by her instead too. So if you want results, yes, definitely send your kids here. I would really like to send my son here but have been put off by the above incidents.

My son started with Anika in year 3 for 11 plus preparation and the transformation in his academic ability was amazing. Anika's course material is brilliant, there is a great deal of effort put into this. She ensures each child achieves their best and helps them to reach their full potential. Anika is dedicated, committed, organised, professional and her advice during the 11 plus process was invaluable. My son was successful in both the Buckinghamshire and Berkshire 11 plus. With Anika's help, he is now excelling in mathematics. Thank you.

I would highly recommend Bespoke tutoring for the best 11 plus preparation. I enrolled my son for the 2 year course and he passed both Bucks and Slough exams.Anika is a highly experienced teacher who can easily identify the strengths and weaknesses of a child. She works closely with each child and provides regular feedback to the parents. Her style of teaching is perfect and she knows very well how to keep the children engaged. Anika and her team have been exemplary in delivery of their coaching sessions to my daughter. Although my daughter missed one term, she was able to catch up through Anika's guidance and went on to pass both examination boards of Berkshire (CEM) and Buckinghamshire (GL). She understands the needs of the children and provides excellent quality coaching and further support classes if needed. She always provides detailed feedback after each test and is always happy to discuss further, individually. Bespoke Tutoring was recommended by a parent for my daughter, and now I now recommend other parents to enrol their children to Bespoke Tutoring without hesitation.

Anika is really competent and professional. The structure of the course is very thorough and effective. She had a wonderful relationship with my child; he really respected her. If you are looking for a preparation course which doesn’t take over your whole existence then this is perfect. We managed to carry on with all our clubs and commitments at the same time as doing the 11 plus work. The daily work set is short and sharp and easy to fit into your day. I believe in working smart rather than just doing more and more of the same repetitive work. You can trust Anika’s experience and it will take a lot of the stress out of the process for you.

A truly amazing teacher is hard to find, but impossible to forget. Anika is one of those teachers. Our son started his 11+ journey in year 4 with bespoke tutoring and Anika and her team were exceptionally supportive, focused , impartial and encouraging to our son at every step of his progress. We aimed for top independent schools like Hampton boys and Merchant Taylor’s alongside with slough grammar schools, and his flying results show how bespoke tutoring had been nurturing our child for his success. I highly recommend Bespoke tutoring and here is my personal experience. My son (RK) joined when he was in Year 4 for the 2-year full course. At that time, I had no clue on how it would turn out to be, however from day 1 my confidence on RK passing the 11+ exam has improved due to the way the course was structured and the feedback I received every week from Anika.Anika is quite diligent and committed to do the very best for each child and help them achieve great results and pass the 11+ exam. We initially signed up with another local tutor, however the volume of work combined with school homework became very overwhelming just after a few sessions.We then got in touch with Bespoke Tutoring and from our very first telephone call we felt at ease and felt that our son would hugely benefit from enrolling with them.Bespoke Tutoring were very tuned in to our son's strengths and weaknesses from very early on and did not take their foot off the pedal for a single lesson. We were incredibly amazed at how attentive Bespoke Tutoring were with our son and reporting back to straight after a lesson, over the two years.Bespoke Tutoring pushed our son, motivated him out of his comfort zones without pushing a humongous workload on him. The volume of work was just the right amount. The layout of the lesson and homework packs were very well organised and easy to follow. There was no stress of numerous workbooks and loose sheets of paper.The structure of the lessons, homework, mocks, one to ones, May half term camp and summer camp were very well planned and thought out.
