Lovely reservoir serving the Leicester canal as headwaters, lots of water birds live here, close by the village of Naseby, site of the Civil War battle field, the the reservoir captures the source of the River Avon. The popular Pig & Applestock" charity festival is held on the shores annually. Whilst the waters and site are owned and maintained by the Canal&Waterways Charity

I attended the Apple and pig Woodstock festival. Very nice good festival and the field were good for camping

Clean and tidy. Carpark rather small. Suspect good fishing as many bivvies were visible. Couldn't find the model railway or the volcano. Sex swing was a little uncomfortable but the chafing soon healed. Would recommend.

Great place to fish balifs that i have met friendly enough to give you time on advice. Down side bivys on the dam wall a night mare to get by at times

rocky dangerous banks health and safety nightmare no toilets they tell you to defecate in the woods . surprised angling is still allowed lots of pale carp inconsistent bailiffing. Supposed to be a night syndicate members only but I just rang up and they let me fish 48 hours typical money grabbing day ticket steer well clear

Beautiful place only slightly marked by traffic noise from nearby A14. An angling club so be mindful of fishermen ...
