Came here for a Sunday lunch. Really, very good food and service. The portions were large, well presented, and good quality. Atmosphere was let down a bit by a booking of 30 who were in at the same time. Made it feel more like a canteen. However, I imagine this won't be the case every Sunday. Will definitely be returning. The only issue is if you have mobility problems as I have, you will find access difficult. The car park is gravel that a manual chair won't deal with, and there are a number of steps to the dining area. I noticed that there may be level access from the front of the building. It would be worth a call ahead as it may be possible to enter the building here.

Lovely family friendly pub with cosy decor and big spacious garden which is perfect for the kids! Usually come to meet my grandmother with the family, and it caters to all our needs ! The food is wonderful, would definitely recommend their chips! And drinks are affordable. Service is lovely and attentive and always very helpful!

The food here is great. We loved the outside seating and the spaciousness of the garden. There is space for kids to run and enjoy the play area. We were a party of 12 and they managed to bring the food out together. Highly recommended!

After going to the Winchester Christmas Market and then finding all the eateries in Winchester fully booked, we went back to the car and searched on Google Maps for somewhere on the way home. Finding the Cricketers, and I'm glad we did. Under new management and only recently reopened. The welcome was warm on a freezing Winter evening. The menu was not exciting, normal pub standards, so was not expecting the gastronomical delights. We chose Homemade Pie and Hunters Chicken. The pie was a proper homemade pie and filled to the brim, served with mash, peas, and gravy. The Hunters Chicken was again home prepared, served with coleslaw and crispy chunky chips. My wife said the best and most tender chicken she has had. We had absolutely no faults at all about both meals.Well, the only fault was we were too full to try the desserts, which I am sure we would have been equally impressed. We will have to return.

We only popped in for some food around midday. Parked easily, staff were friendly and service was quick and astute. Food was good and well priced and the decor is modern and attractive.

The Cricketers was a random choice for us. Oddly I had been to a completely different Cricketers earlier in the week in Westbourne! This one offers an appealing range of pub grub and Sunday roasts which went down very well. My burger was tasty and the fries were excellent. The roasts were enjoyed by my wife and daughter although the pigs in blankets (£3 extra) were a touch underwhelming. My one real gripe was the bitter. Both pints drawn for me were acidic and vinegary which is often a sign of poorly maintained pipes. I returned my first pint and was immediately offered a second – different ale – which was similarly afflicted.I switched to lager which was just fine so choose wisely. The service was excellent all round, the youthful staff (all in their teens) were friendly, helpful and enthusiastic as was the manager.Atmosphere was relaxed but as were the only table eating in the lull between lunch and evening it was difficult to judge! Those with children younger than mine will no doubt love the enormous climbing frame in the enclosed beer garden too.A nice pub and if they sort out their ales I will be back!

Great family pub, beautiful inside seating with wooden beams and 'old pub' vibe. Large outdoor seating with a barked children's play area.Food was delicious, great for Sunday roasts.Dog friendly space, great for kids. Really friendly staff and welcoming space. Highly recommend!
