I had dinner here today with my girlfriends, I have been wanting to come here for a long time as I walk in front of the restaurant every week. And OMG, it did not disappoint. The food was amazing, the place is very nicely decorated and cozy, and the customer service was great too. My friends said we need to come more times so that we can taste all the other items in the menu, maybe it's going to become our new regular place!

We’re glad that we found this little gem, with nice decor and very clean. Food was delicious and made with fresh ingredients. Staff were attentive and caring. The price was very reasonable with good portion sizes. We also liked the iced fruit tea that was served with warm honey. Have added this place to our favourite list and will be back again for sure.

I once worked there. The woman that gave me the job (the co-owner of this place) told me all tips I would get must be put into a jar, from which she later shares them between everybody. She lied to me. I found out from another waitress that she actually gave that money to her, but she skipped me. She also quietly got rid of me as an employee, when suggesting she would call, and I didn't do anything wrong as an employee apart from being slightly inexperienced. So that's that. The woman there is a cheater and I find it's really important that people know how she treats her employees.Edit: No one told me that I wouldn't receive any share of the tips I rightfully got from customers as a trainee. Your response: 'probably not a very good one that’s why your writing this totally unfounded review at this time' sounds rude and tells me more about you. I wrote this review because I was badly removed from the position without having any sincerity being offered to me and unfortunately, this behaviour brought some slight trauma when it came to dealing with other employers. You have no right to be devaluing my experience. It was your guys' fault you treated me like some trash, with lack of appreciation for the work that I did for you.By the way, I worked there in 2016 and realized just now that I still had some resentment towards being mistreated.

Following an absence of a few years, I recently had the pleasure of revisiting Jakarta Restaurant in Colindale, and I was delighted to discover that it remains a culinary gem in the neighborhood. My visit was a delightful reminder of the restaurant's authentic Indonesian cuisine, warm hospitality, and commitment to halal practices. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was transported to a vibrant and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant's décor, adorned with intricate carvings and Indonesian artifacts, exuded a sense of authenticity that set the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. My culinary adventure commenced with the Mixed Starter Platter, a tantalizing medley of flavors that tantalized my taste buds. The crispy spring rolls, bursting with vegetables and shrimp, were a delightful prelude to the succulent skewered beef satay, served with a creamy peanut sauce that perfectly complemented the grilled meat.Next, I ventured into the heart of Indonesian cuisine with the Chili Chicken, a dish that lived up to its name with its fiery heat. The succulent chicken pieces, marinated in a fiery chili sauce, were a testament to the restaurant's culinary prowess. The dish left me with a lingering warmth that lingered long after the last bite.To balance the spicy intensity, I opted for the soothing comfort of Egg Fried Rice, a dish that has graced the tables of countless families across Asia. The fluffy rice, cooked to perfection and infused with soy sauce, was a palate cleanser par excellence. In an effort to fully immerse myself in the authentic Indonesian culinary experience, I indulged in the Beef Rendang, a UNESCO-recognized dish that has rightfully earned its reputation as a national treasure. Tender beef cubes, meticulously simmered in a rich coconut and chili sauce, were a symphony of flavors and textures that left me utterly satisfied. To conclude my gastronomic journey, I savored a scoop of homemade ice cream, a refreshing and delightful finale to a truly exceptional dining experience. The creamy texture and subtle flavors provided a perfect counterbalance to the fiery heat of the chili chicken and the rich flavors of the rendang. As I concluded my meal, I was filled with gratitude for Jakarta Restaurant's dedication to halal practices. As a Muslim, it was heartwarming to find a restaurant that prioritizes providing halal options for its patrons, demonstrating a commitment to inclusivity and religious sensitivity.Overall, my recent visit to Jakarta Restaurant was a resounding success. The restaurant's authentic cuisine, warm hospitality, and commitment to halal practices make it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a taste of Indonesia in the heart of Colindale. I wholeheartedly recommend this hidden gem to all food enthusiasts and those seeking a unique dining experience that blends culinary excellence with cultural immersion.

Visited Jakarta restaurant today. We were greeted on arrival and taken to our table. We decided to go for the set menu for 2 which was £50 . Overall we loved the variety of starters and the mains were amazing. Quality of food was very high and very tasty. Our host was always attentive and very helpful when we needed something. We had a pleasant evening and I highly recommend a visit to this beautiful restaurant. Great value for money, as well as being halal. Huge portions and very filling. Homemade ice cream was amazing as well as the coffee and tea options. 5 Stars will be back again. Thank you !! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Love the food and come here once a month, the laksa is amazing, the chef does not skim on the ingredients and it is very tasteful. Even my 7 year old eats it as she loves it so much and the price is unbeatable.
