Afghani restaurant

Had the Mixed Grill Special and it was so delicious and fresh. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The decoration is nice had the Afghan feel to it.

Sahar is really disappointing. From the service to the delivery to the food, Sahar failed in every single aspect. I placed an order with Sahar, and it took more than an hour to arrive. It might not even come if not for my persistent calling. The calling process was extremely arduous for my calls were unanswered and unreturned. After persistent calling, I finally manage to get through, only to meet a rude man whose words I cannot decipher. The food I ordered eventually came, but only partially. Thus, I had to call again. This time round, a lady answered, and had no clue I even ordered food whatsoever. I had to insist that I ordered food and that the order only came partially. She said she would call back. The call never came. Thus, I had to call them again (I lost count). Eventually, they confessed they did not have what I ordered! I asked if they could replace it with something else. This was the only thing that they did right, but I overpaid for the replacement dish. Now, I wouldnt have mind going through all the trouble if Sahar made good food, but the meat was too salty and too tough. The rice was too cold, and unevenly cooked. The flavoring was off, and the plastic container in which they placed the food in came deformed (I probably ate some plastic together with my food). The salad was not fresh. The only saving grace was the coleslaw, which was barely edible. Had to disappoint my friends who were over at my place for a meal. Would not purchase ever again. No thank you.

Excellent customer service and value for money. On top of this the food was extremely delicious... my husband and I ordered a mixed grill for 2. We actually went 2 days running. We enjoyed it that much we wanted our two young boys to join us there too. So we ordered an extra portion of chops. The food was plenty. Food comes with salad and a couple of side sauces. Plus rice or freshly made naan. A pot of mint tea is plenty and enough for 4 people. Child friendly and has toilets upstairs not like someone else has stated. I would recommend in one of the reviews that I read. I'm hoping to visiting this place with family at least once a month. Thanks.

Nice fast food and friendly staff.

Visited here recently after a break of a few years simply because of the distance, its in a different city. I'm pleased to say that that Chapal (Chapli) Kebab is as good as its ever been. My friend and I had a meal deal of 3 Kebabs and a Nan and salad between the two of us and it was perfect in size and perfect in taste. At total £9 fantastic value also. Absolutely amazing, my friend who came with said he really enjoyed it. These guys really know how to make this Kebab which is essentially a speciality of the Kyhber Pakhtoonkwa province in North West Pakistan. They garnished it with fried egg and tomatoes. Can not wait to visit this place again...

As an Afghan, I can confirm that this is NOT Afghan food! Avoid! Feeling sick day after!Very low quality and poor taste.

I visited the shop yesterday and ordered chicken karahi, expecting a 40-minute wait as they had indicated. However, after the 40min wait, I was informed they didn't have it and so instead we order chicken curry. Unfortunately, the chicken curry was neither fresh nor flavorful. This was quite disappointing, especially since I've had good experiences there before. It seems like there might be some issues with their service or preparation on this particular day. I hope they can improve and maintain their previous standards.

Beautiful food. Whole family loved it, travelled all the way from Wolverhampton and was definetly worth it.
