I am a 'late starter' to the world of General Aviation, having secured my PPL and Night Rating only a few months before my 70th Birthday. I wanted to buy my own aircraft, but was only ever going to do this once .... so it had to be right. Mike Godden, the CEO of Flightline Aviation Ltd, contacted me in very early January to say that a stunning Piper Archer II was about to come on the market. In short, and despite the fact that the seller is actually his client rather than the would-be buyer, he gave me a huge amount of very wise and well considered advice (I was thinking about a Socata Tobago). I went with that advice, and a sales agreement was signed within a week. Since then, Mike has been immensely helpful through a huge number of e-mails and telephone calls and has 'held my hand' at every stage of what is by definition an unfamiliar process to me. He very quickly gained my complete trust and he turned the whole potentially daunting process into an absolute breeze. He has guided, advised, allayed any concerns I might have had and has done his job absolutely brilliantly. Moreover, he has made the whole thing a real pleasure. I cannot commend the firm in general and Mike in particular too strongly, and when the time comes to part with the aircraft I will look nowhere other than Flightline Aviation Ltd to steer me through that process, too. After making the difficult decision to sell my Aircraft and dealing with a couple of time wasters, I set about looking to utilise a broker. The cost of paying commission outweighed the hassle and answering futile enquiries. There are a few about of course, a couple that I did contact quickly offered me cash over the phone; without seeing the Aircraft which seemed odd. They were Just out to make a quick buck. I then happened across Michael Godden at Flightline who just seemed more professional and required to see the Aircraft first hand. Confidence restored, his valuation was far more realistic in line with the market trend and better than the cash offers. I needed no convincing, immediately received a contract clearly detailing the procedure which alleviated the pressure, and any potential for hassle. Within a few days a credible buyer materialised and a pre flight inspection undertaken plus full valet; all arranged and paid for by Flightline as part of the service. The sale went through without a hitch and I just felt throughout that Michael and his colleagues truly held up both the interests of myself, the seller and the buyer through clear communication and honest brokering.

We were supplied a fantastic quality stainless steel building we operate our MOT vehicle workshop from. The building went up very quickly and we have had no issues since it went up a number of years ago. We would certainly use Springfield Steel Buildngs again if we expand or relocate. An excellent piece of Duxford heritage, where you can see aircraft being totally restored to Flying Conditions; therefore is a must on Duxford IWM visit, especially on Air Display days.

Very pleased with the building and the service given by Springfield.There were only a few minor issues which were dealt with promptly and efficiently by all concerned.Very helpful.

We have used Springfield Steel Buildings over the past 8 years and they have supplied us with buildings at 12 sites all over the UK. They started just supplying the building with ourselves using a 3rd party to complete the groundworks and external works. Over the years SSB have now taken on board the full package for our buildings and supply a one stop shop saving us the hassle of using separate subcontractors.Over the years SSB have developed a building that we reproduce over the UK based upon our current needs. SSB’s quotations are always very detailed, clear and concise and usually include a Cold Rolled Steel Building, Mezz Floor, Insulated Cladding, Steel Installation, Groundworks, Drainage, Internal Works, Electrics & Plumbing and external works.Work is always of a very high quality and to the Health & Safety always is of the highest standard. The site guys are always friendly and nothing is too much trouble.Once works were completed, there is always a little bit of snagging to do but it is always very minor things.All round excellent service, high quality product and great customer service.

I enjoyed this museum, it did feel quite expensive for admission, but I guess the maintenance charges are high.
