Barrel supplier

I ordered an oak barrel from this company (same as oak barrel and the barrel makers). It came in reasonable time and looks to be a good quality barrel. However the couriers refused to take it round to the back of our house as it ‘wasn’t their job’. My husband and I are both nearly 70 and there is no way we can move it so it’s sitting where they left it and goodness knows how we’re going to move it. I emailed the manager of the company to explain our problem and he didn’t even have the courtesy to respond. While the delivery men could have been more helpful, at the end of the day the responsibility lies with the company and surely they should choose and pay couriers to put the tubs where the client wants them. The whole episode is totally unacceptable and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone

Okay I needed to come back and change my initial review. As previously stated, everyone deserves a second chance. My barrel shipment did have a bit of a delay but it was not drastic and due to Covid things get lagged a bit. I have received good customer service from Juliet and I will definitely give them more business. I look forward to sending another barrel with you guys. Thanks very much Zan Shipping...

We used Sussex Party Bales for a party in our garden last year. Fantastic communication - they were promptly delivered and collected and for a great price! The coffee sack covers and oak barrel bar were a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend!

We used Sussex Party Bales for our wedding in July 2022. Steve was really helpful in assisting us with our questions about which items to hire and had a lot of stock to choose from.We hired hay bales with coffee sacks and also barrels and planks for an outdoor bar. All of the items were in really good condition and helped to create the chilled vibe we were hoping for for our special day.Steve kindly delivered and collected the items and was really flexible with timings which was fab with so many suppliers to organise!We would definitely use Sussex Party Bales again and would recommend their services :)

Great quality furniture and workmanship

I bought 2 5L barrels from here. After following all the steps to seal it properly it continued to leaked for weeks. I got in touch with them and they agreed to send me another replacement barrel. However this one also is still absorbing water 2 months after trying to seal it. The initial 2 barrels still leak even after trying to re soak again. Customer service worked for me but the product just isnt good enough. Would not recommend. Just because it costs more does not make this a better product.

Ramsden have been recycling the empty drums from one of my clients site for over a year now, and happy to say there's an easy to work with and professional drum reconditioner, thank for all the hard work!
