Elgin Cathedral
After trying to get a slot to visit all summer we went on at 2pm on a Saturday on a very cold, windy October on the off-chance we'd get in. No queue and a really helpful guy on the front desk. Loads to see with QR codes to scan at most points. So many different stone examples to look at with a computer to view other stone examples if you don't fancy climbing the tower. We climbed the tower with our preschooler. It's a narrow spiral staircase and some of the steps are smaller than others so do be careful. The view from the top is amazing and well worth the climb. There are a few rooms with displays on the way so you can stop and rest. Toilets available in the entrance with some trinkets to buy. I'd definitely go again. (The toilets were lovely and warm and very clean) We spent about an hour and a half here and there was still more to look at.

Visited October 2023: breathtaking, even though I didn’t go inside the outside is beautiful. There’s an area where you can observe the stone masons repairing parts of the building too

Dromore Cathedral
Old cathedral by the river lagan on the site of an ancient monastic settlement connected with St Colman 514 AD. The Cathedral itself looks more like a stone church in stature. Theres a repaired high cross which used to be in the market square. The present cathedral was Built in 1661 but has been expanded through the years.

Sheffield Cathedral
⛪✨ @sheffieldcathedral illuminated - Starlight by @luxmuralis ✨⛪This year's light show at Sheffield Cathedral was more spectacular than ever before with mind boggling projection displays and countless beautiful Christmas trees decorated by community groups.A truly wonderful festive experience for all ages and one we hope to see return every year. I also loved that there was mulled wine available, and enjoyed a browse of the lovely gift shop.As someone who is in no way religious, I'm happy to see the cathedral welcoming non religious events all year round. It's an impressive events space and hosts everything from art exhibitions and classical music concerts to silent discos. This is my fave event here every year. A fantastic space and festive event. For more local reviews, follow @sheaf_foodies on Instagram

Bath Abbey
Very nice cathedral. Worth to visit.Small fee to enter. There is a tower that can be visited but tickets get sold quickly for the tower. If you just want the abbey it's ok just to walk in any time. The abbey itself is lovely, better to go when it is sunny so you can see all the windows displaying all the majestic scenes.

Norwich Cathedral
Very impressive cathedral, amazed it was free to visit! I particularly enjoyed the treasury and seeing the painted brickwork up close, many people don't know that these historic buildings were painted when they were first built, that paint has largely faded over the centuries.
