Cottage pie is super, Chicken pie with leek is also not bad. There are a lot of cute things in the little shop. I bought a cute cat bag.

good fishery

10 years since I have fished this lochs .. it was bad then but recently I have returned .. first of all I was shocked that the owner is still alive although he didn't look it coming out the door. In the 10 years being away from the place not much has changed its more run down than normal .. but I don't think it has been stocked in atleast 20 years .. more chance of catching covid than a trout up there.

The fishing isn't easy, but the rewards are there to be had for those willing to put in the effort. With carp to nearly 50 pounds to be caught, booming bitterns, and diving osprey and kingfishers to keep you company, Northey really is an angling paradise.

In our 6 hour session I got the distinct impression that the small lake we were in (1 of 4) was fairly over-fished. At least a couple of the fish caught had very soar looking mouths. A gentleman nearby seemed to be pulling out 8+ lbers in short succession.

A lovely little lake that is part of a complex of lakes, nature reserves and woods. Fantastic to sit on the bank and fish.

We have our water supply from Seafield Estates and it is continually running dry, we need a pump to boost water pressure and have gone through 3 pumps as suddenly water stops and is damaging them , plus washing machine pumps. The amount of dirt and mud coming through is ridiculous once wells are running dry.We pay for our water and last year we had no water for 22days over the year.They do not offer a discount for days without water. Farmers also use this water supply and yet do not have to pay and i have seen troughs running over all year round or they will fill tanks for spraying which drains the wells. they get first priority to the water.we have to go without. Really considering complaining to DWQR

Been here twice - brilliant both times. Nice selection on both the breakfast and lunch menu with lots of Veg and vegan options.

Lovely place for glamping. Yurts were spacious and clean as were all the facilities. Each yurt had its own toilet and shower facilities which were also very clean. There was lots of nice extra, a firepit , BBQ, logs, washing bowel, kitchen utensils , too much to mention . A great place to stay.
