The VICI Language Academy
Have been at Vici for a while now learning Japanese and have been absolutely loving it! My teacher Keiko is really lovely and she explains everything so well that I'm able to pick up new things much more quickly than I have been in the past, helping me progress much faster. Vici has been really helpful from the start and are incredibly flexible when it comes to booking lessons since I have a pretty hectic schedule so I can't always make each lesson if something comes up last minute. Nathalie has also been very helpful with giving me advice on various ways that I could potentially turn my love of Japanese into a career in the future :) Really can't recommend it enough!

I've always felt that learning another language was next to impossible after my experience at secondary school, but I can happily say I have now changed my mind! For the last year, I have had a private teacher from Learn Japanese and have made significant progress. Each lesson is tailored to me and my current level, really fun, and my teacher very graciously puts up with my endless number of questions.I hope one day to visit or even live in Japan, and if you are thinking of learning Japanese I can't think of a better school to do it with. If you take just one class, I am sure you will get hooked just like me.

I have very much enjoyed my lessons with Anne-Camille over the last year. The sessions have been fun and always tailored to my interests/topics of choice and ability. She is a patient but very engaging teacher and there has been a good mix of oral, written and grammatical work with no judgement on any mistakes. The zoom format combined with a shared drive works very well and I can’t imagine it being any easier/more effective in person. Anne-Camille always tries her best to rearrange lessons to fit in with my timetable. Thank you very much for all the help and support Anne-Camille!

My tutor was very professional and always had a well structured lesson with a clear plan addressing what I wanted to work on. The online set up also worked very smoothly and never posed any problems.I was learning French with her and found the classes helped me achieve a grade I was very proud of in my PreU examination.I have always enjoyed languages but these classes really did improve all aspects of my French which ultimately gave me the confidence to apply for a year abroad at a francophone university.Overall, it was a very positive learning experience.

I wanted a Japanese tutor and had very specific requirements. They really listened and came back to me with the perfect match. My Japanese ability has increased immensely in such a short space of time and I am very grateful to the attention they gave me to make it happen. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a Japanese tutor.

Visited the academy and can't express how impressed I was! The language coaches are so enthusiastic and knowledgeable - and great at tailoring lessons to my way of learning; they've really boosted my confidence. I love the new classrooms too... I have to say I feel at home at Vici. Thank you to Nathalie and The Vici Team, can't wait to come again!

JAPCO Education
JAPCO Education is a fantastic way to study Japanese. I had been due to move to Japan before the pandemic delayed those plans, and so I decided to make good use of the time “in limbo,” and I have been taking the Intermediate Course for a few months now. In this short time, I feel I have improved considerably. Dr. Margaret’s lessons are fun, engaging and well-structured, with lots of practice in reading, writing, speaking and listening. They draw on a range of sources and go beyond the usual standard textbook approach. As well as the weekly 2 hour lesson, Margaret offers an additional 1 hour practice session, which has given me a great opportunity to better understand and process the materials from the lessons. The materials do stretch you a little at times (good thing), but it always feels manageable and within your reach. Margaret is friendly, approachable and good at explaining difficult concepts in grammar. She’s lived and worked in Japan for many years, as well as having a degree in Japanese as well as her PhD and teaching qualifications. Finally, the online lessons are flexible and very affordable. I would highly recommend studying with JAPCO Education!

MM Japan - Japanese Language Lessons and Translation Service
My daughter has been having Japanese lessons with MM Japanese for just over two years. During this time, she has always received the best one to one tuition. Teacher and student have built a bond that has been invaluable, and the reason why (in my eyes) Scarlett has qualified for the Nirongho Cup TWICE in two years, winning her age category on her second attempt.I would not hesitate to recommend Mariko to anyone wanting to learn Japanese. She has a wonderful quiet way about her, that is a joy to be around for the student, and parent. I am always informed of my daughters progress after every lesson. The support you give to Scarlett is definitely the reason for her Japanese learning success!Thank you Mariko!
