Knit shop

I have been going to Buttons and Blethers sewing class for 7 weeks now and I absolutely love it. Maggie is a great teacher, I didn't know a thing about sewing before I started and I've learnt so much already. The shop itself is a wee hidden gem, filled with loads of beautiful fabrics and crafts. Would definitely recommend this shop and the classes.

1st time in this shop and will definitely be our last!! Absolutely disgraceful customer service called in the Bury shop yesterday with my friend before 4pm. We was advised by the sales assistant we'd have to be quick as close at 4pm and she didn't get paid for working after that. There was a lady already purchasing quite a lot of items, she informed the assistant she didn't get to the shop often so always picked up quite a few things when she did. The assistant was rushing that much and going on with herself, she tilled in the sale wrong at least 3 times and had to start again. One point it came to £40+ (wrong again) to the shock of the customer who offered to tell her the prices. In between the assistant stopped to go and get her mobile phone to call her husband, after informing us that he'll be on double yellow lines and telling him to go and stating she'd just have to walk home. She wasn't going to be out for 4pm, as she had a shop full of customer infact 3. I have never experience such unprofessional customer service from a sales assistant, the items my friend was going to purchase she put down and we left the shop.

Awesome place lots of deals and loads of stuff to look around and mooch and really good value for money

Went in to pick up a click and collect parcel, was fast and easy to do and very friendly.

Busy because it was school holiday. Didn't have the small jigsaws (4-6 piece) that I wanted but lots of other things - seemed well stocked.

Nice gigantic craft store! Had to pop in to pickup some craft supplies. Found many things and blanks which is awesome. Everything I wanted was in stock. But, I can say cotton bag blanks and acrylic blanks are not so good. Bags have holes in the tag/label areas.Their prices are very competitive with online retailers!Also, at the end, the cashier took extra money from us because of the wrong item. He didn’t check the other products and scan the same tag for all stuffs.Plenty of parking too, which is a great plus!

A fabulous shop which caters to knitters & crocheters. To those who sew and who do embroidery. A large supply of yarns and notions (needles, hooks etc), 100% cotton fabric & fat quarters, cotton thread, needles. Embroidery thread and kits. Ribbons, scissors, craft bags, buttons, zips, interfacing and more.

Lovely, helpful lady working there. Fantastic range of fabrics. Some great ideas too.

Perhaps you were all shopping on the wrong day to get such poor service. I shopped last thursday when a lady called Sarah was working and found her extremely helpful. She helped me to quickly find the type of knitting pattern I wanted and advised me on a suitable yarn and variation on quantity from what the pattern said. I shall continue to shop there but will try to go on a wednesday or thursday when I hope she will be working.Helen Jay
