Mollie's Motel & Diner Bristol
I stayed for one night on a business trip. I called in advance to let the hotel know I would be late and to rearrange my diner booking. The lady on the phone was very helpful. The lady who welcomed me and give me my room key was also very welcoming, friendly, and smiley. By the time I ate food and returned to the hotel it was after 10pm. I messaged the support to link my phone to my booking and despite being out of hours a lady called Hazel responded immediately with the information required which was great. If it was the same person then she needs to be commended on how she treats people. She was lovely. Well done to her.Unfortunately, the food in the diner was overpriced for what you get and not particularly good. The chicken burger I ordered had a really awful taste. Either the chicken wasn’t too good, or the fat used needed changing. Service was average but the bill included a service charge automatically which I detest. If I had known, I would have gone elsewhere.

Perfect location for getting to the aj bell world traithlon series. Although above a pub, a good night's sleep was had each night we stayed. My dog was very happy to be with us also.

Ramada by Wyndham Telford Ironbridge
We have been co.ing to this hotel as a family for a number of years and always found it OK, is the easiest way to explain it with food and drinks purchaed every night with a average spend of £300 to £400 pounds to set the picture. We have always said with exception to maybe two members of staff the rest require training as they are rude or they just dont want to be there not welcoming at all so lessons in customer service and lessons in presentation would not go a miss. The breakfast is a waste of money as depending on which chef is working depends on what kind of breakfast you get and the front of house in the restaurant spent more time on his mobile out back smoking or chatting to chef and leaving no orange juice or not replacing food that had dried up because of the liggts on the carvery and not changing milk in the coffee machine. We checked out and gave debit card information as normal 6 months later we received a letter saying there was a sum of £374 outstanding for the bar and food. We spoke to them obout it and made a plan, paid in full but because the bank was not reconciled properly they instructed a firm of solicitors and took us to court even though it was paid in full. I found there accounts team to be very rude and doesn't care about customer retention. We will never step foot over this or the Holiday in Telford as these are franchised and are run by the greys hotel group which doesn't care about customer retention and have no care on how guests are treated.

The room wasn't clean, the chair was broken, if I had sat on it I would of probably injured myself, if your working away avoid as I had about 2 hours sleep, people were talking loudly most of the night, there were hairs in the bed so I slept on top of the duvet, the shared bathroom was mouldy, the heating was stuck on so it was like walking into a sauna, so take my advice and avoid.

The bedroom was clean - it’s an old hotel and the furnishings were a little tired. However, I did appreciate that the heating had been turned on and the light was on when I arrived (helpful when arriving late) Breakfast was included with a lot of choice about the type of food required. I had poached eggs which were perfect. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Budget Hostel
We booked a room with a double bed, but ended up in a room with three beds and no double bed. The whole hostel is very dark and the toilets and showers are not very clean. Neither is the kitchen"."

Days Inn Telford M54
Really pleasantly surprised by room, booked at last minute for just £32 I wasn't sure exactly what to expect as you so often get what you pay for! Very clean, bright (hotel was being redecorated at the time) and the room and bathroom a good size.I required an accessible room, and a double bed would have been appreciated but is not available. The bathroom has a low profile bath, which was ok but a full wet room would have been preferred. Will definitely book again, especially if available at such a bargain price!

George Hotel, Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent
We paid £60 a night (Friday/Saturday) at the end of July. A lovely lady (Brittany?) booked us in a few months ago and saved our receipt. When we got there a nice lady {Trina) booked us in officially, it was her 1st day alone after just starting. She couldn't have been nicer, told us where our room was and a few rules then we went to our room, having seen the reviews we were a bit wary but the room was lovely, basic , but really nice. It was clean, plenty of towels, nice big bathroom, hot water. Everything we needed. There was a TV but we never watched it so I can't comment on it. Observation. There was no telephone in the room, which we found unusual, but we have a mobile each so didn't need it.From what we saw of the hotel a lick if paint wouldn't go a miss and new carpets, as it looks a bit tired" but you can see what a beauty it was and hopefully could be again. The main door is shut early on in the evening and you just ring the bell and someone comes.I think we met 3 reception ladies and the gentleman who works the evening. ALL were pleasant and friendly."
