New American restaurant

Ordered some spicy steak, it was very flavourful. Also had a try of my friend's Texas style brisket and that was also very delicious. Service was nice and the place had a very chill vibe. Portions of food were good.

Love a Hickory’s! This is the 3rd different one we’ve been in and always had a great time with fabulous food. Would advise to book well in advance as these get full quickly, it’s always busy. There is gluten free menu available. Food was hot and tasty, the platter we shared was massive and we didn’t finish it, but was offered the option to take home what we couldn’t eat. Lots of different drinks and cocktails also available, great for kids with their own entertainment areas. There is seating outside with some very cute huts here as well. Highly recommended.

Dont come on a Saturday!!! Waited almost two hours in the rain for a seat and decided we would sit outside under the heaters outside. However its raining and we were not totally covered by the canopy so made the decision to get the food and eat in our car.The venue is small and staff suggested its better to come during the week as they are busy as soon as they open.The staff were up beat and as helpful as they could be. I gave 1 start for atmosphere because we never made it insideWe brought the meat sharing platter, which is mainly chicken, lots of chicken!The brisket lacked flavour, even the bourbon bbq sauce did nothing for me. The fried calamari was not crispy and the chicken was just ‘ok’ nothing special. I loved the burnt ends and the dirty onion rings - delicious. The drinks are expensive for the cup.Was it worth a two hour wait; personally no. However, on a quiet day I would buy the burnt ends and onion rings again.Spent £68

While the peppercorn sauce comes highly recommended, I would suggest a slight adjustment to the parsley butter sauce, as the parsley flavor was a bit overpowering. However, our specific request for crunchy chunky chips was flawlessly executed, arriving at the table precisely as we preferred.Our dessert experience culminated with the shared banoffee waffle—a generously portioned delight that easily satisfied two individuals. The waffle's harmonious blend of textures and flavors left a lasting impression, providing a delectable sensation that lingered on the palate.Asha, our waitress, distinguished herself with her amiable and approachable demeanor. Her proactive and attentive service, which included regular check-ins to ensure our well-being, offering water unprompted, and maintaining impeccable table hygiene, undoubtedly elevated our dining experience. Asha stands out as a paragon of exceptional service, making our evening notably pleasant and establishing her as the most congenial waitress we've encountered in quite some time—a true blessing to our dining experience.

Second time in and again, it was unreal.Service was excellent and despite the restaurant being full, service levels were well maintained.The food was absolutely amazing again. We had the Roast Beef special, the rib and steak, the kids pepperoni, Philly cheese steak sandwich.Food was hot and delicious...in most cases, the food always seems to be better the first time round and a little disappointing in a second visit...NOT THIS PLACE ...it was still amazing.I recommend the Philly Cheese steak, have it medium rare.

Very food and quite pricey. The bread is amazing, they have lots of wine options and the service is fast but not very friendly. I would have expected a better service (they made a mistake with the time of our reservation and we still had to wait because the table was not ready yet. I think the way they manage this is not adequate for the level of the restaurant)

Where to start? I was long due a visit to this restaurant, heard so many good things throughout the years that I had to tried it, specially being a big fan of all kind of meats. I must say, coming in it does feel like you're getting into an American restaurant, the decorations, the music, the all vibe is very welcoming and pleasant. All staff was really kind, specially the waiter that looked after our table. Our table was ready with the menus which I found them quite charming, kinda looked like a newspaper but with, the menu. We ordered the platter which has a bit of everything, kids had a buguer and hotdog which were ok for a kids meal. The main character, full platter, I don't know if it was because I built to much expectations, but it did lacked a bit, portion wise was ok, but was expecting like an American sized platter if you know what I mean. The meats were good, but maybe because of the time I booked (2pm) and the meats, being smoked for so many hours, might have started to dry out a bit maybe...? Was expecting the meats to be juicy and tender like something I never tried before, however the food was a tad too dry. The whole experience was good, but lacked a bit mainly in the tenderness of the meats, and the quantity, still I recommend a visit, you might have better luck. I will visit again, different time thou, earlier definitely.

Popular restaurant…enjoyed for Christmas the quirkiness. Space for large gatherings and parties.The food was delicious, ribs and buffalo wings…good portion sizes. One member had T-bone steak and was delighted! Hamburgers looked like high stacked burger certainly would not disappoint! Friendly service and looked after those with dietary requirements. Would return again!

Outstanding dinner at Tom's last night with the wife. Brie with chilli marmalade followed by chicken Tenby and a cheeky cheesecake. Beautiful meal and great friendly & attentive service throughout. If only it was BYO and it would get 5 stars as £20 odd for a bottle of average wine is a tough call and probably a big turn off for folk these days when so many restaurants in Bangor let you bring your own.

Food was delicious. Service great, people who work there very nice and friendly. The only minus was it was a little bit cold inside. But definitely I will go back as food was very nice
