Post Office

Post office within newsagents. Only 2 counters, and limited services as expected with sub post office.

Staff are friendly but the Post Master is totally incompetent. Recently sent a parcel back to a company well that’s what I though. Turned out he had put the postage stickers on my senders details and posted it back to me. Now unable to get a refund. I will be going elsewhere

Quite shocking. For the past three days there has been no one there so they just don’t open the post office. How is it possible you don’t open during official opening hours due to ‘no cover’. Unacceptable for such a key service many are reliant on. Don’t get me started on the ridiculous opening hrs. Poor service at this post office, if you can even call it that.

Wortley Post Office and General Stores is run by a really nice couple and has a good range of products available apart from the Post Office side of the business.Bottle of wine or a beer for the evening? A nice bit of cake? A magazine or postcard... This place could save you a supermarket run if you're in the area. They even do firewood and kindling.Bike hire or repairs? This is the place!!We popped in a couple of times while staying in the area for a few days. The first time for local postcards to send to our grandchildren in the States and the second for some supplies & goodies. We ended up having quite a chat.Did I say they also run the B&B next door? Well, they do!! Well worth calling in. They have far more than you'd expect and we all need to support our village shops, don't we??

I ordered a package on next day delivery for a birthday present. The item was confirmed for delivery so I waited in. The delivery agent made no attempt to knock on my door to make delivery and instead just placed a card in my letter box. I'm now going away this afternoon. Redelivery cannot happen until Monday or I can collect this afternoon... The birthday is tomorrow and I leave the island at 2pm today. The complaint service could raise a complaint that will take 72 hours to start. I now have to see my nephew on his birthday with no present. Royal mail are unwilling to help me fix this today! A lack of customer care dosent even cover this and a one start rating is too high in my opinion.

Amazing Staff, great shop with all the little things you need with offers. Post office is amazing too.

First Class Post Office - Often quite busy but the staff are friendly and very helpful. Good access to the self service machines and even treats for the dogs.. what more could you ask for from a post office.

Usually a lovely place the tall white gent with glasses is always a delight to speak to.. well spoken and is the only reason I’m giving this place any stars at all. But my oh my, the old short white grumpy lady is so so rude, I think she should take her retirement earlier than sooner. Her customer service skills are terrible. I initially joined the post office queue as I had a small parcel with a pre paid label attached. I was waiting 10+ mins as someone was having some currency exchanged so as I got to the front she called me over to her till and said she can serve me. I said thank you for serving me I have my new puppy alone in the car. And the state of this woman she replied “that’s your problem isn’t it”. She’s lucky I haven’t made a formal complaint and escalated this with the ombudsman as it’s not the first time shes made snide remarks. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

Really poor unhelpful service by the male clerk today , I’ve never sent anything to Europe before , refused to help with suppling some tape to stick the paperwork to the box or offer a clear wallet so the documents could be seen , said I had to buy them and he had none in stock , when I asked for help he just looked at me in silence , there was no one else , no queue either .I drove to jubilee crescent post office who was really helpful, advised me and even stuck the documents down. Would highly recommend jubilee crescent!!Avoid
