But don’t go there for iftar because you will be treated very bad… May ALLAH forgive our all sins…Aameen

Oxford University Muslim Prayer Room & Mosque
It's a prayer room for the students studying at the Oxford University. One of the students allowed us in and we were able to offer our prayers. There is a separate enclosure for women behind a screen. Appropriate clothing was also kept . There were Quran with diff language translations and pin boards with students thoughts and their interpretations of various aspects of the Deen.

Mount Zion Methodist Heritage Chapel
A beautiful church with a rich tapestry of a many storied history. John Wesley himself lodged and preached here. The church is a sacred place and a wonderful spot to visit, for the intrinsic natural beauty or the vibrant spiritual history-or both! A wonderful landmark on many levels for West Yorkshire and the Halifax region.

Salvation Army Charity Shop
Lost it's way in 2023 with a radical makeover, hopefully the lost custom will be a wake up call to go back to what worked. Wait and see.

Bournville Quaker Meeting House
This is a beautuful protected building on the edge of Bournville Village Green. I visit with a friend on Fridays roughly every 2 weeks, to listen to music recitals of all kinds both talented school children & profesional musicians. These events are well attended & a joy to hear. There is a small lunch provided from 12pm - 12.45pm, of cheese biscuits, various cheeses, grapes, cuppa soup & fresh bread with a pot to make a cash donation covering expenses. The recital starts at 1pm for 45-60 minutes, is free, but donations are requested from the audience to cover the artists travelling expenses so we give what we each decide or can afford. Everyone is made to feel very welcome here & religion is not an issue at any time but just the pleasure of listening to lovely music of all kinds from talented artists, young & older.
