River Carron
The river Carron has some spectaculr views and the fishing has improved greatly over the yearsThe part of it that was once a bit of a dumping ground for the old paper mills that used to be one of the main employers in the area is now clean again and is being well looked after again.

River Tees
I have the pleasure of residing next to this tidal river. Its always a mood changer as the wildlife dictates how the river impacts on you. A great place to walk your dog or just watch The Transporter trundle scross the river ferrying cars to snd fro.Tees Barrage further up stream is a lovely day out and well worth a visit.
