Travel lounge

Decent wee lounge. Not a bad little selection of red wine. Food was a little bit sparse. Staff that work there are excellent!!

We thought the lounge was very comfortable and the quality of the food and service was much better than the other Gatwick lounges we’ve experienced. It’s not quite to the Dubai standard of Emirates but they’ve done well for Gatwick. The staff were very friendly.

As with every United Club, packed to the point of being uncomfortable. We walked around for several minutes before finally finding a dirty table where 2 could sit together that someone had just left. Alarger selection of mediocre quality hot and cold food. There are large windows for a nice view, but the seats in that area are likely occupied. The lounge is relatively new and in good condition. I would give it a 4 if it weren’t for the overcrowding.

Excellent all around

Very good value for money, lots of space, choices of food and drinks. There are plenty of seats, bean bags etc. The food was fresh, and plentyful. The staff were helpful when needed. Will definitely use this service again.

Good lounge, not overly luxurious but solid. Nice to stop off for a relaxing drink and a snack. Chairs are comfortable and the space is fairly calm and relaxing. Friendly staff at the front and good apron views for plane spotters.Access for those travelling in business or first on either Lufthansa, Austrian or Swiss, and those with Star Alliance Status. If you have an American Express platinum you can also access the lounge if travelling on either the above mentioned airlines in any class, and recently also Eurowings…

For a first class lounge this facility is sadly lacking. While the staff are genuinely lovely the area is dated, lacking air con and the hospitality offerings are woeful.You have a choice of tea or coffee, a few different cake options or a meat platter. Considering the cost of the tickets can exceed £200 for a 2 hour train journey in 1st class that’s really quite poor.If you want to have an alcoholic drink it’s chargeable.Of course it’s nicer to sit here instead of being downstairs in the absolute chaos of the worst organised station in the country but it’s definitely not worth the cost…
